Charles Anthony D'Ambrosio, Jr. (born 1958) is an American short story writer and essayist, raised in Seattle, Washington. He is the author of short story collections The Point (1995, PEN/Hemingway finalist) and The Dead Fish Museum (2006, PEN/Faulkner finalist, Washington State Book Award), and essay collections Orphans (2005) and Loitering (2014). His work has appeared in The New Yorker and earned him a Whiting Award, Lannan Fellowship, and other honors.com
