Valente (born May 5, 1979) is an American author of speculative fiction, poetry, and literary criticism, best known for novels like the Orphan's Tales series, Palimpsest, Deathless, and the Fairyland series including The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making.
