About Catherine Barnett
Catherine Barnett is an American poet and educator born in 1960. She is the author of four poetry collections—Into Perfect Spheres Such Holes Are Pierced (2004), The Game of Boxes (2012, James Laughlin Award), Human Hours (2018, Believer Book Award), and Solutions for the Problem of Bodies in Space (2024)—and has received honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship, Whiting Award, and 2022 Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She teaches creative writing at New York University and works as an independent editor.
