Casey Plett (born June 20, 1987) is a Canadian transgender writer best known for her novel Little Fish (2018), her Lambda Literary Award-winning short story collection A Safe Girl to Love (2014), and her Giller Prize longlisted A Dream of a Woman (2021). She has also won the Amazon.ca First Novel Award for Little Fish, the Stonewall Book Award for co-editing Meanwhile, Elsewhere, and grew up in Winnipeg in a Mennonite family before teaching at Ohio University.Casey Plett
