About Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan (1934-1996) was an American astronomer, planetary scientist, and science communicator best known for his bestselling book Cosmos and the Emmy- and Peabody-winning TV series of the same name, as well as the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Dragons of Eden. He authored over 20 popular science books, including Contact, and contributed to NASA's Voyager missions with the Golden Record.
