About C. K. Williams

Charles Kenneth "C. K." Williams (1936–2015) was an American poet, critic, and translator renowned for his long-lined, introspective poetry addressing personal and social themes. Poets.org. His notable works include Flesh and Blood (1987, National Book Critics Circle Award), Repair (1999, Pulitzer Prize for Poetry), and The Singing (2003, National Book Award). American Academy in Berlin. He received numerous honors, including the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize (2005), and taught at Princeton University.
