About Bruce Chatwin

Charles Bruce Chatwin (1940-1989) was an English travel writer, novelist, and journalist best known for In Patagonia (1977), which revived the travel writing genre and won the Hawthornden Prize and E.M. Forster Award; other notable works include The Songlines (1987), On the Black Hill (1982, James Tait Black Memorial Prize), and Utz (1988, Booker-shortlisted).
