About Bonnie Burnard

Bonnie Burnard (1945-2017) was a Canadian novelist and short story writer best known for her Giller Prize-winning novel A Good House (1999), which became a #1 bestseller and was published internationally. Other notable works include the short story collection Casino & Other Stories (1994), shortlisted for the Giller Prize, and novels like Suddenly (2009); her achievements also encompass the Commonwealth Best First Book Award for Women of Influence (1989) and the Marian Engel Award (1995) for her body of work.
