Bob Shacochis (born September 9, 1951) is an American novelist, short story writer, and literary journalist whose debut collection Easy in the Islands (1985) won the National Book Award for First Fiction; his novel Swimming in the Volcano (1993) was a National Book Award finalist, and The Woman Who Lost Her Soul (2013) earned the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
