Ben Marcus (born 1967) is an American author known for his experimental fiction, including the debut collection The Age of Wire and String (1995), the novel Notable American Women (2002), and The Flame Alphabet (2012). He has received numerous awards such as the Whiting Award, Guggenheim Fellowship, and Berlin Prize, and teaches at Columbia University.
