Ben Elton

Ben Elton (born 1959) is a British-Australian author, comedian, and writer best known for his satirical novels including Stark, Popcorn (winner of the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger), High Society, and Dead Famous, as well as co-writing iconic TV sitcoms like The Young Ones and Blackadder series. His literary works span dystopian, comedy, and crime genres, earning awards such as the Swedish Kaliber Award for Popcorn and WH Smith People's Choice Fiction Award for High Society. A key figure in the 1980s alternative comedy movement, he has also written successful musicals like We Will Rock You.
