Barbro Lindgren

Barbro Lindgren (born 18 March 1937) is a Swedish writer of children's literature and books for adult readers. She graduated from art school in 1958 and debuted as an author in 1965, exerting major influence on Swedish children's literature with her humorous and imaginative works blending realism and surrealism. She won the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2014 for her pioneering contributions.
