Banco del Libro

Banco del Libro is a non-profit organization founded in 1960 in Caracas, Venezuela, dedicated to promoting children's and young adult literature. It began as a textbook exchange center and expanded to build libraries, run mobile libraries, and foster reading nationwide. Renowned for its annual awards "Los mejores libros para niños y jóvenes" since 1980, it received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2007 for its pioneering work in reading promotion.
