Ayad Akhtar

Ayad Akhtar (born 1970) is an award-winning American playwright, novelist, and screenwriter of Pakistani descent, best known for his play Disgraced, which earned the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and novels American Dervish (2012) and Homeland Elegies (2020), the latter winning the 2021 American Book Award.
