Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.

Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. (1917-2007) was an American historian and public intellectual renowned for his works on 20th-century American liberalism and presidents like Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Andrew Jackson. His most notable books include The Age of Jackson (1945) and A Thousand Days: John F. Kennedy in the White House (1965), each winning a Pulitzer Prize (1946 for History and 1966 for Biography), along with other acclaimed works like The Imperial Presidency (1973) and Robert Kennedy and His Times (1978). He served as Special Assistant to President Kennedy and was a key figure in liberal politics.
