About Arnold Lobel
Arnold Lobel (1933-1987) was an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for the Frog and Toad series and Fables, winner of the 1981 Caldecott Medal. Illustrators. He received Caldecott Honors for Frog and Toad Are Friends (1971) and Hildilid's Night (1972), and a Newbery Honor for Frog and Toad Together (1973), among other accolades, and illustrated nearly 100 books.
