Aracelis Girmay (born 1977) is an American poet, teacher, editor, and collagist, best known for her poetry collections Teeth (2007), Kingdom Animalia (2011), and the black maria (2016), with recent works including Green of All Heads (2025). Her achievements include the Whiting Award (2015), finalist for the Neustadt International Prize for Literature (2018), and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Cave Canem Foundation.
