Antonio Larreta

Gualberto José Antonio Rodríguez-Larreta y Ferreira (1922–2015), known as Antonio Larreta, was a Uruguayan writer, critic, playwright, and screenwriter best known for his historical novel Volavérunt, which won the prestigious Premio Planeta in 1980, and his play Juan Palmieri, awarded the Premio Casa de las Américas in 1971.
