About Anthony Price
Alan Anthony Price (1928-2019) was an English author of espionage thrillers, best known for his 19-novel Dr. David Audley series featuring counter-intelligence agents loosely based on MI5. Born in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, he served in the British Army, studied history at Oxford, and had a long career in journalism, editing the Oxford Times. His debut novel The Labyrinth Makers (1970) won the CWA Silver Dagger, and Other Paths to Glory (1974) won the Gold Dagger, which was later shortlisted for the Dagger of Daggers.
