Anna Langfus

Anna Langfus (born Anna-Regina Szternfinkiel; 1920–1966) was a Polish-French novelist and Holocaust survivor who wrote fiction exploring the aftermath of war and the Holocaust. She won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1962 for her novel Les bagages de sable (Bags of Sand), her most notable work, and authored others including Le Sel et le Soufre (1960) and Saute, Barbara (1965). She died of a stroke at age 46 while working on a new novel.
