Andrea Wang

Andrea Wang is a Chinese-American author of children's books. She wrote *Watercress*, illustrated by Jason Chin, which won the 2022 Caldecott Medal and was also a Newbery Honor book in the same year. The picture book is a semi-autobiographical story about a Chinese-American girl who learns to appreciate her heritage through the act of gathering watercress. She is also the author of *Magic Ramen* and *The Nian Monster*.
