Andrea Stenn Stryer

Andrea Stenn Stryer (born 1938) is an American author, educator, and former librarian known for her children's picture books, including the award-winning Kami and the Yaks (2007), which earned the Schneider Family Book Award, Moonbeam Award, and Bank Street College Best Books designation in 2008, and The Celestial River: Creation Tales of the Milky Way (1998). A graduate of the University of Chicago (MA) and Southern Connecticut State University (M.L.S.), she worked for thirty years in libraries and taught in schools before becoming an author.Encyclopedia.com, ALA Schneider Award
