About André Corthis
André Corthis, née Andrée Magdeleine Husson (1882-1952), was a French writer known for her poetry and novels who spent part of her youth in Spain and began composing poems at age twelve. She gained fame at 24 with her debut poetry collection Gemmes et Moires (1906), winning the Prix Femina, followed by novels like Pour moi seule (1919), which earned the Grand Prix du Roman of the Académie Française, among dozens of other works.
