About Alix E. Harrow

Alix E. Harrow is an American author of feminist fantasy known for The Ten Thousand Doors of January and The Once and Future Witches. She won the British Fantasy Award for Best Fantasy Novel for The Once and Future Witches (2021). Harrow began her career as a short fiction writer; her story 'A Psalm for the Wild-Built' won the Hugo Award for Best Short Story in 2019. The Ten Thousand Doors of January (2019), her debut novel, was a World Fantasy Award finalist. The Once and Future Witches, set in a fictional Northeastern American city in the 1890s, follows three sisters trying to bring witchcraft back to the world alongside the suffragette movement. She has also published Starling House and A Mirror Mended. Harrow lives in Kentucky with her husband and children.
