About Alfred Duckett
Alfred A. Duckett (1917-1984) was an American author, journalist, speechwriter, and civil rights activist best known for collaborating with Jackie Robinson on the autobiography I Never Had It Made, which won the 1973 Coretta Scott King Award, and with Martin Luther King Jr. on speeches including the "I Have a Dream" address and the book Why We Can't Wait.
