Alexander Maksik

Alexander Maksik is an American novelist. He is the author of You Deserve Nothing, A Marker to Measure Drift, Shelter in Place, and The Long Corner. Passengers, published by Europa Editions, was longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Fiction. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, he is a Guggenheim fellow and the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and the Andrew Lytle Prize. He is co-artistic director of the Can Cab Literary Residence in Catalonia.
