Alberto Bevilacqua

Alberto Bevilacqua (1934-2013) was an Italian novelist, poet, and filmmaker born in Parma, Italy. He gained prominence with works like La polvere sull'erba (1955), La califfa (1964), Questa specie d'amore (1966, Premio Campiello), and L'occhio del gatto (1968, Premio Strega). His achievements include multiple literary prizes, directing adaptations of his novels, and receiving the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2010.
