About Aimee Nezhukumatathil
Aimee Nezhukumatathil (born 1974) is an American poet and essayist of Filipina and South Indian descent, author of notable works including the New York Times bestseller World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, & Other Astonishments (2020), poetry collections Oceanic (2018), Miracle Fruit (2003), and Bite by Bite: Nourishments & Jamborees (2024). She has received a Guggenheim Fellowship (2020), Pushcart Prize, National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and awards for her books such as the Tupelo Press Prize and Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award.
