About Agymah Kamau

Kwadwo Agymah Kamau (born c. 1960) is a Barbadian-born American novelist. He moved to New York in 1977, earned degrees in finance and economics from Baruch College, and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University before becoming a full-time writer and creative writing teacher at the University of Oklahoma. His notable works include Flickering Shadows (1996) and Pictures of a Dying Man (1999), the latter winning multiple awards including the ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year and the Commonwealth of Virginia Literary Award; he also received a Whiting Award in 2003.
