About Adam Zagajewski
Adam Zagajewski (1945–2021) was a Polish poet, novelist, translator, and essayist, born in Lwów (now Lviv, Ukraine) and associated with the Generation of '68 or Polish New Wave movement, which opposed communist ideology. His notable works include poetry collections like Without End, Mysticism for Beginners, and Eternal Enemies, and his poem \"Try to Praise the Mutilated World\" gained international fame after 9/11.
