About Adam Thirlwell

Adam Thirlwell (born 22 August 1978) is a British novelist whose debut novel Politics (2003) earned him the Betty Trask Award and selection as one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists (also in 2013), followed by notable works including The Escape (2009), Lurid & Cute (2015), and The Future Future (2023). His work, translated into thirty languages, has garnered the Somerset Maugham Award (2008) for Miss Herbert (aka The Delighted States), the E.M. Forster Award (2015), and Fellowship in the Royal Society of Literature (2018) Royal Society of Literature, Penguin Books.
