Adam Nicolson (born 12 September 1957) is an English author and writer of non-fiction works on history, landscape, literature, and the sea, best known for books such as Sea Room, God's Secretaries: The Making of the King James Bible, The Seabird's Cry (Wainwright Prize winner), and Sissinghurst: An Unfinished History (Ondaatje Prize winner). He has received major awards including the Somerset Maugham Award, Royal Society of Literature Heinemann Award, and Wainwright Prize, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
