About Abraham Verghese
Abraham Verghese (born 1955) is an Ethiopian-American physician, professor at Stanford University, and bestselling author known for his memoirs about treating AIDS patients and epic novels set in Africa and India, including the New York Times bestsellers Cutting for Stone (2009) and The Covenant of Water (2023).
