Abdelrahman ElGendy

Abdelrahman ElGendy is an Egyptian author and translator from Cairo. A winner of the Samir Kassir Award for Freedom of the Press, he holds an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Huna, his debut memoir, published by Hogarth, was longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Nonfiction. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, The Nation, and Guernica.
