About A. F. Moritz

Albert Frank Moritz (born April 15, 1947) is a United States-born Canadian poet, teacher, and scholar known for over twenty books of poetry, including notable works such as The Sentinel (2008), Night Street Repairs (2004), and The New Measures (2012). His achievements include the Guggenheim Fellowship, the 2009 Griffin Poetry Prize for The Sentinel, the ReLit Award, three Governor General's Award nominations, and serving as Toronto's Poet Laureate from 2019 to 2023.
